A mother who has given birth to twins knows the difference between her babies even though they are identical. Maybe no one else can tell, but a mother always knows because she can tell the difference in their attitudes, their actions, even in the way that they cry. They may not even be able to speak as yet but their actions and reactions tell them apart clearly.

Even as adults it is easy to blend in with the crowd. The same nine-to-five job as others, the same broken family, insecurities and inner turmoil. When a person has a relationship with God, however, it’s easy to tell them apart from the crowd. The difference between you and others has to be clear, because the God you serve is not the same as other gods.

Remember the incident of Aaron and the rod? Twelve rods went into the tabernacle but only Aaron’s sprouted and was fruitful.

“Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds.”  Numbers 17: 8

They were all in the same place, under the same conditions but everyone saw that there was a difference in the end.

When you focus on a relationship with God, your old problems, mistakes of the past, bad habits and so on, fade away, despite the circumstances around you; because you become a new person. Family members, friends, those closest to you see a visible testimony.

It’s one thing to receive a blessing from God and another to have a testimony of your entire life. That is something that no one can deny. When that change happens, you may look like everyone else but your life will set you apart.

Your life will shine and blossom. You won’t need to speak because your testimony will speak for you.

May the God of the Bible Bless You,

Bishop Joshua Fonseca
