What traits do you have that you got from your daddy?

Is it:
The way you walk?
The way you talk?
The way you stand?
The way you dress?
The meals you like?
The sports you like?
The trade you do?
The way you look?

When people look at you, they comment, ‘Like father, like son.’ Not just boys, but some girls also have the traits of their father:
Their smile, their complexion, etc.

When people see them walking with their father, they don’t need to ask; they can see by the actions that it’s father and child!

This is the point Jesus wanted to make to these people.

I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father.” They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. (John 8:38-40)

He wanted them to understand that it was not sufficient to say; their actions must match what they were saying.

Now I ask you again: who is your daddy?

Be sincere with yourself. Who have you been reflecting in your daily life? Does it please the God of the Bible? Good for you; continue shining for Him!

If you just realized that your traits are not that of the God of the Bible, you have the opportunity to change your actions today.

You know the character traits of the God of the Bible; make a decision right now. Decide to follow His ways, decide to give Him your life, and choose to live and shine for Him.

It will not be easy, but like any healthy relationship between daddy and child, when you have a problem, run to the loving arms of your daddy.

Which better daddy to have than the God of the Bible?

May the God of the Bible bless you
