Anything with a low battery is on the verge of being useless. As soon as a battery runs out, that device can do absolutely nothing for anyone. I’m sure you’ve had first-hand experience with this. A phone call that drops because of a sudden dead battery or even the computer that dies in the middle of an important project.

While these instances may seem small, there are dead batteries that can have much greater consequences. When our soul is far from God for example, our battery becomes low. Unfortunately, there are many who have faced this particular problem.

Just as a battery does not die instantly, our soul does not lose its charge instantly either. It happens over time. As we use a device, little by little it becomes lower and lower. As we face the problems of life, our soul feels lower and lower. Unless, we recharge it.

“It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer…” Matthew 21:13

This is the charging station. Many have refused to refuel because there “isn’t enough time,” or perhaps, “it isn’t the right time”, but a low battery needs to be attended to immediately. The truth is, our soul needs to be constantly charged. The time we spend with God is the greatest fuel we can have and we certainly need it.

Don’t worry about the reasons why you’ve been running on low. Simply run to the charging source and allow God to renew you. A ‘charged’ soul leads to a blessed life and most importantly, salvation.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
