Do you know how to identify a fake bag, perfume, dress, sneakers, etc.? Some fake items are more easily identified than others. If a fake item can be identified, then for sure an authentic one can also be identified. There’s also examples of human beings. There are some children that just by looking at them you know who the mother or father is. The facial features alone make it clear.

Now what about those who say they belong to God? If you say you are a child of God, shouldn’t you have some resemblance to God? Let me illustrate what I mean. If your father is a chef, but your are starving to death, what sense would that make? Say you have a rich father, but you are living in poverty… how would that look?

In the same way, to have a great God and not resemble Him, makes no sense.

Why should you accept to be called a child of God (that promises an abundant life), but your life reflects that of the thief  (that came to steal, kill and destroy?) Your life can’t reflect both!

The Bible says,

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.” (Matt. 6:24)

If I am serving God, then I cannot serve disease, unemployment, misery, drugs, poverty, a broken home, or anything like it.

If God is your father, your life has to change. We can not be fake, or wear a mask. We can’t accept unhappiness and just make an excuse for why it’s okay. It just doesn’t work like that.

Your life has to reflect whoever you serve. So never accept for yours not to reflect the Great God that you serve. If He is indeed your father, then your life has to start reflecting His character and His power.

May the God of the Bible bless you
