There is always a reason for something, sometimes even more than one reason. How many times does someone do something and the question arises: what reason did you have to do this or do that?

If we are just human beings and we have reasons for our actions how much more does God?

He has reasons for the things that you experience in life, even if they are painful. Let me make something clear, God doesn’t do things to cause us pain but He allows somethings to take place.

Then you might ask, what reason does God have for allowing this to happen to me? This is my opinion but I believe these are the main two reasons:

 1. For us to be tested; whether we are faithful or not? It is easy to be faithful to God when everything is going well. But problems test our resolve.

 2. For Him to be gloried in us. When we go through trials and tribulations then we glorify God with our victory.

I know when we past through tribulations it is hard and sometimes we even cry but you know what, it’s good for us to know ourselves, for our faith and faithfulness to be tested.

Take a Look at the story of Joseph.

The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord  was with him and that the Lord  made all he did to prosper in his hand.

(Genesis 39:2-3)

God was with him but he went through all those things to be stronger (I encourage you to take the time to read the entire chapter).

Now I want you to personalize the situation you are facing right now and ask yourself this question; What are the reasons that God is allowing this to happen to me?

Remember the two reasons above, now I have two more questions for you to finish

 1. Are you ready for His test?

 2. Are you ready to overcome and glory His name through your victories?

Remember God being with you does not equal a problem free life.

So go in this might of yours.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
