Have you ever been caught in a rainstorm without an umbrella? You’re drenched, shivering, and desperate for shelter. It can feel like the storm will never end, and you’re powerless to make it stop.

Similarly, we can face storms that leave us feeling lost and helpless. Maybe it’s a difficult moment of depression or anxiety, or it’s an unexpected illness, a lost job, or a relationship that falls apart. We can feel like we’re at the mercy of the storm, unable to find a way out.

Psalm 116:8 says, “For you, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.”

You are not alone, even in the midst of the storm. We can turn to God for comfort and guidance and trust that the storm will eventually pass.

In fact, just like a rainstorm brings much-needed nourishment to the earth, life’s storms can also grow faith and give you a deep dependence on God. With God by your side, you can emerge from the storm stronger, with a deeper appreciation for the moments of sunshine that follow.

So if you’re in the midst of a stormy season, take heart. Seek the Holy Spirit and find guidance and comfort in difficult moments. The Almighty will wipe away your tears and protect you from falling if you give your life to Him.

The rain won’t fall forever, and with God’s help, you can weather the storm and come out on the other side.

May the God of the Bible Bless You,
