Family, friends and fun gatherings. That is the season we all find ourselves in. Loved ones from near and far are coming together to celebrate happy moments because there is a lot to celebrate. When you are giving thanks, what is it for? When you celebrate, what is it that you remember the most?

Maybe there isn’t much that you have to give thanks for. You have struggled, lost your income, lost loved ones and family gatherings have just become a depressing fighting arena. The holidays are just a reminder of everything you don’t have.

On the contrary maybe you have it all; a great job, a healthy body, you’re surrounded by people who love you, yet you feel alone. On the outside looking in everything seems great but you are still not feeling thankful and you find nothing worth celebrating.

Well there may be an element missing to make your life complete, to really make the difference between an “okay” life and a truly happy life.

“Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.” Psalms 128:1-2

When God is with you your circumstance won’t matter because things will always be well with you. Maybe you dread the holiday season because you put on a fake smile and pretend that everything is okay. God is offering you real help. There is peace, joy, happiness. With or without people around, a holiday or a festive occasion, you will have an inner wellness that comes with knowing Him.

May the God of the Bible bless you,
