Rejected by your family…

Rejected by society…

Maybe you were even rejected at birth!

When you were born your dad said: “This is not my son” or “She’s not my daughter”.

The same happened with your husband or wife, and even that ex-partner rejected you and walked away with another person. And here you are, feeling so alone.

It’s clear that rejection is not always about not getting that promotion or not getting into your dream college. It goes far beyond this. It makes you feel like no matter what you do, nothing will ever go as planned. For this reason, the aftermath of rejection should not be left unresolved.

A series of rejections can cause depression, or even an overwhelming fear. It can stop you from trying to move forward, just to avoid experiencing that pain of rejection again.

King David experienced a similar situation. Read this verse and take note of what he did:

Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. 1 Samuel 30:6

David strengthened himself in the Lord his God!

What about you?

I’m sure you believe in God. So, you can do the same thing. Seek the help of the Lord to overcome this feeling of rejection. He is ready to welcome and accept you with open arms. He will never reject you.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
