Some time ago I heard about a young lady that was angry with her father because he denied her as a daughter.

This wasn’t the worse partfor her… the worse part was that her father was a pastor. Yes you heard me correctly. He was a pastor!

Because of this she made a vow never to give her life to God, and never to follow “this God”, because her father who was a Pastor but had another wife, another family and denied her. She couldn’t help but question, what kind of God allows a pastor to reject his own daughter? The saddest thing is that she died without knowing God. This happened because her father (who was a pastor) did not show God through his behavior.

The moral of this story is, don’t just talk the talk. Don’t just talk about God, don’t just preach about God, but rather show to others who God is with your life. You have to be the Bible of today, not just preach it.

You might ask, but how can I show God? One thing I am sure of is that it’s not just with words. If your life does not reflect the glory of God, you are just like a mute person. You can preach the whole Bible but no one will trust or give credit to your words because they know you, especially your family members and your friends.

If your life is full of sicknesses how can you talk to others about healing? How can you talk about prosperity, if you have to borrow money from them?

These are things that should cause revolt inside of you! Don’t get me wrong, this anger should not cause you or anyone else physical harm. But it should cause action.

It should lead you to cry out to God. He won’t be angry with you because He is searching for people in revolt. Will you be found to be one of them?

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him…

(2 Chronicles 16:9)

May the God of the Bible bless you.
