The Lord wants to fill you with His Spirit. But how can you receive a different spirit if you do the same things again and again? Only different things can bring different results. When God wanted to bless Abraham, He told him to leave his environment. He had to leave the environment of his friends and family and go to a place where God could use him. See what the scripture says:

Now the Lord had said to Abram:

“Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house,To a land that I will show you.Genesis 12:1

The first sacrifice he had to make was to leave his country, leave his family and leave his fathers house. Why? Because God wanted Abraham to be alone, by himself so that he could here God’s voice. When you are in a noisy place, you can not hear clearly. Let us read a little more:

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. Genesis 12:2

For you to be a blessing you have to sacrifice your will, desires, plans, thoughts and your entire life on the altar. Many people want God’s fullness, but only want to give God half of their life. But that makes no sense. You can only receive God’s fullness, when you give yourself 100%.

And that’s what this Fast of Daniel is all about. Give yourself 100% in order to receive 100% of God.

May the God of the Bible Bless You
