Have you ever seen a police officer asking a driver that he caught going over the speed limit if it’s okay to give him a ticket? For sure you have not! Why? Because he has the authority to do so.

Have you ever seen a judge asking an offender if it’s okay to send him to jail for a crime he committed? Not at all. Because he has the authority to do it.

These two examples are meant to make a point. The word of God says;

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

(Mark 16:17-18)

In whose name? In the name of Jesus Christ; The Name that has all the authority and power, even above a police officer, a judge or anyone else. That’s why when He says they shall “cast out demons”, He isn’t saying to ask or be polite with evil. He is saying that He is giving those who believe in Him AUTHORITY.

When you pray you can’t be religious or weak; you must be righteously angered against the problem. This is what I learned in my early days of living the faith. Problems don’t listen to a request. Evil only listens to a command given in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Something very serious is the fact that this authority is conditional. Just like that of an officer, a judge, a teacher or anyone else that had to do something to have the authority they received. There is also something you must do. You must decide to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. But this belief is not just to say “I believe”. You must be willing to live in obedience to His words. Then for sure, you will have the authority to command all evil (addiction, poverty, sicknesses, family problems, curses, etc.) out of your life forever.

Do you have this authority?

May the God of the Bible bless you
