Words are spoken every day and everywhere, but we can all agree that not every word has the same effect. Many times, the effect a word has, depends on the person who spoke.

Take this simple scenario for example: Communication between siblings. How many times is a request made by a brother or sister but is not taken seriously until mommy, daddy or grandmother steps in? It can totally change the reaction of that brother or sister.

You can even find this in a working environment. Instructions given co-worker to co-worker are not always adhered to, but when that instruction comes directly from the boss, it’s a different story.

Some people go as far as to ask the following question: “Who says so?”

Even though it’s a sad reality, it is understandable because we are all human and not everyone is honest. On the other hand, when it comes to the Lord Jesus, there is no doubt when He speaks, because He always stands by His Word.

“…Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: ‘I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you.…’” (2 Kings 20:5)

You don’t even need to ask: “Says who?” God made it clear from the start that HE says so!

No matter what situation has caused your tears; maybe it’s a sickness in your body or soul; or perhaps you even find yourself crying for no reason.

Don’t lose hope, God has given you this promise and He will not go back on His Word. Cry out to Him and He will surely save you.

Who says so?
