Maybe you’ve heard it said, “what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is yours”… Speaking of “what’s mine is mine”, children quickly develop this idea, without even being taught it. From an early age they throw temper tantrums if someone touches something that they consider to be theirs. Later in life most people also develop the idea that “what’s yours is yours (meaning, if it is yours then it is not my business and has nothing to do with me)”. In life in general we practice this concept in almost everything that we do. We don’t take things that don’t belong to us, but what belongs to us we consider totally ours.

When I own something, that means I can give it away if I want to, after all it’s mine to choose what I want to do with it.

The same applies to your life. You cannot give someone else’s life to God, each individual is entitled to give their life or not. But whoever decides to give their life to the Lord will see the power of God displayed clearly in their life. But you have to open your mouth and say “Lord, here is my life! This is who I am. I give my life to you.” You must take off your mask before God… take off the makeup. God knows who we are so we can’t fake anything. When we give our life to God, we give all that we are, and all that we have. God then takes this life and gives you a new life.

As it is written;

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you
James 4:8

When you give your life to God you are not losing anything, God has more to give to us then we can give to Him. Don’t be scared to lose your life. You are the one who has to give it away. A pastor can even pray for you ,but you are the one that has to say “God, I give my life to you (and of course actually mean it)”. Then He will take your life and transform it.

May the God of the Bible Bless all of You!
