This might sound ridiculous; bear with me, please. What would you choose if you were asked the following question:

Which do you prefer, walking on solid ground with security or on a thin line from way up in the air?

This seems like a no-brainer, right?
Let us look at the pros and cons of both options.

Option 1 – Solid Ground
First, it is safe; the solid ground has a foundation, and there is no falling and breaking a leg, arm, or even falling to your death!

Option 2 – Thin Line
The first thing is this: it is NOT safe; it is easy to have an accident from a slight shift in the wind or stepping too hard on a thin line. You can’t even run across it, and it has limitations, not to mention it can cost you, your life, falling from way up there!

Which one did you choose?
Before you answer, take a look at this Bible passage.

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” (Luke 6:46-48)

Like it or not, this is pretty much the same thing; now let me rephrase the question: what have been your decisions over the years? Retake a look at the examples before you answer. Have you been falling? Is your life broken and shattered into pieces because it lacked foundation?

No problem, you can change and choose option one, stand firm on the Word of God, and make it your foundation. You will shake, but the problems will not break you!

May the God of the Bible bless you!
