Have you ever gone skydiving? I believe the majority answer will be no. It takes a certain level of confidence to put one’s life in such a high-risk situation. Those who take these extreme chances are usually known as “thrill seekers” or “risk takers,” however, the level of confidence they must have in the instructor, pilot, and especially the parachute is commendable. Imagine if those who call themselves believers had the same trust in God.
This is something the Bible teaches us to do. Trusting in what is physical is much easier. Trusting in what you can see, touch, and hear is the easiest thing to do. However, when money, people, degrees, and experience fail us, we can only turn to God.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:7
The Word of God promises a blessing for those who trust in God. Although you cannot see or touch Him, His power is real, and His Word never fails. Next time you are going through a hard moment, and it seems like the physical solutions are not quite cutting it, remember that your faith and trust in God come with the promise of a blessing.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
