A day to celebrate those who have given everything for us. Mothers’ Day. A mother’s story is so intense. After months of creating a child, the pain comes, and after the pain comes joy. How interesting? Before the joy comes pain. Perhaps you are still in your state of pain but joy is coming.
“It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world.” John 16:21
Perhaps you are in the midst of pain. Like a mother in labor pains, it is agonizing that you think it will never end. At this moment, all you feel is the depression, the loneliness, the disease, the problems with your children, the loss. It does come to an end.
Right now, you are suffering, but tomorrow you will experience joy. Your joy is waiting for you. The joy, peace, happiness, and unity you imagine are possible. Allow God to carry you through this moment and receive your joy.
