Have you ever forgotten something? A password, an important task at work, your keys, something you were supposed to pick up at the grocery store? It’s quite easy for things to slip our minds. However, there are some things that we can never forget about. For example, you are reading this right now as a parent and are thinking: “I could never forget my child.” Well, this is how God thinks about us. We are His children, and He never forgets us.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.” Isaiah 49:15

Maybe this is how you’ve been feeling lately – forgotten. It seems like you’re walking around in a world of one. You are the sole survivor, and no one seems to care about you. You couldn’t be more wrong. This problem you are facing, this hard time that you have been having, and the moments when you have cried yourself to sleep have not gone unnoticed.

Just as a child runs to their mother when hurt, you can run to God right now. Whatever your hurt may be, He is waiting for you with open arms. He never forgets about you and never turns His back on you. He is a father, and He takes care of His children.

That’s something you should always remember!

May the God of the Bible bless you,

Bishop Bira Joshua
