Take a deep breath. Now imagine that all of your life’s stresses, worries, and disappointments are escaping as you breathe out. The average human being takes 12 to 18 breaths per minute. A breath may seem like just a breath, something normal or perhaps unimpressive, but it is a sign of life. It is the difference between life and death.

What if you could receive a breath that gives eternal life? Would you take it?

“And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’“ (John 20:22)

The disciples had this opportunity. Face to face with the Lord Jesus, they received the breath of eternal life. Perhaps you often sigh in frustration or anger or wake up each day and take a deep breath because you don’t look forward to what the day has to hold. You walk around with breath in your lungs, but it feels like you aren’t alive.

When you receive the breath of life, it transforms every day. It is the guarantee for eternal life, and because of that guarantee, each breath becomes a blessing, and each new day becomes joy. The Holy Spirit living inside of you will create a new reality. Take a deep breath because as long as you are alive, there is hope. The Holy Spirit is there, available for you right now. All you have to do is invite Him in.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
