Everyone knows no one can cook like mothers and grandmas. It seems like they have a secret recipe that only they know about. Even when they supposedly share the ingredients with you, the food doesn’t come out or taste the same! Then you comment, “Mom, grandma, the taste is not the same.”

Many times, simple things can change the whole taste of the food or pastry. If you mix the ingredients too much, the batter can become hard, making your bread hard. If you put too much oil, eggs, or sugar, it can cause a whole lot of difference. Even the temperature of the oven can make a difference.

Even the order in which you put the ingredients can make a big difference. You need to mix all the dry ingredients and then afterward the liquid before combining the mixture. This is the point of the matter, the best recipe is when you follow the instructions to prepare the meal or pastry.

There was a man in Bible days that he finally got it and he saw the results.

So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
(2 Kings 5:14)

He did it according to the saying of the man of God. In other words, he followed the recipe. That is why his life changed. It didn’t change the first or second time he dipped. Only the seventh time made the difference: No more infirmity but the sweet feeling of normal skin, no more sores, no more pains!

We don’t live by feelings, but just for conversation, what a great feeling it must have been to have the skin of a baby.

What area of your life is sick? The recipe to solve this problem is in the Word of God. It is the greatest recipe book; go ahead and follow the instructions/obey His Word, and enjoy the sweet life it brings.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
