We all have 365 days in a year. Each morning, we choose our actions. What many people don’t know is that their morning routine can improve the quality of their day—if done the right way.

Like a strong building with a good foundation, a morning routine can make you steadfast and ready to take on the day ahead. Just as a chef sharpens his tools before beginning work, you also need to establish a morning routine that sets the tone for the rest of your day.

No one is better than God to explain the ideal morning routine. According to the Bible, this is what we should do in the morning:

“O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.” (Psalm 63:1)

Have you ever considered placing God as the top priority in your life? The wisdom of King David gives us an example of what to do. Are you thirsty for the Lord’s presence in your life? Take a moment to reflect on your daily morning routine; does it include time with God?

Seek God early; be thirsty for learning from His words.

If you don’t already, try adding God to your morning routine. Praying is one simple way to set yourself up for victory throughout the day.

Inviting God first gives you the strength to overcome obstacles.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
