Being disappointed or betrayed by someone you trusted can make you wonder, “Who can I turn to now?” When the person you thought would be there for you isn’t, it can leave you feeling like you have to handle everything on your own. But you don’t.

Psalm 62:8 says, “Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”

God is someone you can talk to about whatever you are facing. You don’t have to pretend everything is okay or have the right words. You can simply pour out your heart.

Think about a time when you had a problem you couldn’t solve on your own. Maybe you had an important decision to make, something wasn’t working, or you simply didn’t know what to do next. The first thing many of us do is look for someone we trust who has the knowledge or experience to help us. We ask questions because we know they may see something we don’t.

God is that person for us—and even more. He sees what we can’t see, understands what we don’t understand, and knows what we need before we even know how to ask. When we call out to Him, He doesn’t just listen; He has the wisdom and answers we need.

So if someone has disappointed you, don’t let their actions convince you that no one can be trusted. Take what is on your heart to God. Trust Him with it. He is a safe place to turn, and He will never leave you without direction.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
