How can simple actions like these cause life-changing negative results?
- Walk
- Stand
- Sit
All of us were encouraged to walk by our parents when we were small. Apart from the fact that it shows development, it also helped our parents; they didn’t have to carry us around all day, and we would walk with them.
Even though I started with the action of walking, which is usually the last thing we do, this is the usual stage of these three phases.
First, we learn to sit, then we learn to stand, and later on, to walk. All of this was for our own good and physical development. We can even go as far as to call it independence.
Now, when did all of these simple actions reach the level of causing us harm? When we use these actions around the wrong people.
This is a warning from the Word of God.
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;” (Psalms 1:1)
Do you want to be blessed?
Start by paying attention to small details.
Who do you walk with?
Who do you stand with?
Who do you sit with?
If they are taking part in ungodly activities, you can sink with them.
How many people are behind bars, dead, or in the hospital because of the person they walked, stood, or sat with?
Use your independence for your good, not for your demise!
Let us walk, stand, and sit in the presence of the Lord together. This is your special invitation. Join us this Wednesday for the Bible Study in The Universal Church near you. Call for more information: 1-888-332-4141.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
