Do you like Bible stories?
I have one for you:
Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. (John 5:5-9)
Let’s jump to verse 14:
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” (John 5:14)
He was warned, and this was his second chance. He took it, but not everyone takes the second chance.
Recently I received a letter from someone behind bars who got a second opportunity, but unfortunately, she did not take it.
To make a long story short, this lady was rescued through the UBB Ministry. She received prayers and counseling while behind bars; she had many plans for the future. A day before her release, she said she already planned her party at a club with friends. She was advised to go to the Altar of the church instead, place her life in the hands of God, and keep it there!
We can only advise people, but the final decision is theirs. She did what she wanted to, attended services a few times. Soon after, she stopped coming. She blocked the church number. Now her reality is worse than before; she is back in prison!
Did you get a second chance?
What did you do with it?
Is this your second chance?
What will you do with it?
As I said before, we can only advise, but the final decision is with the person. Now this is my advice for you. Take this second chance that was given to you.
Do you want a place to start over?
