Do you remember back in the days when the greatest moments were the fun times you had pretending with your siblings and friends?

They would pretend with fake money that they owned hotels, properties and cars. They would also pretend to be the superheroes that saved the day!

Everyone wanted to be the one to save the day; the strongest and the best! You would run around in that beautiful cape of yours for everyone to see and cheer you on!

‘Oh! Those were the days’ many might say! But for you, it’s still a reality; you have been pretending since childhood and even now as an adult!

Around friends and family members you are the star of the family gathering, you know how to put a smile on their faces! You light up a room when you enter, you greet everyone with a big smile on your face!

But only you know that you are trapped in your childhood pretense! This poker face, showing that everything is ok! When in reality your life is falling apart!

The walls of your home and your pillows know only too well your reality! The sadness you feel when you are all by yourself! How you struggle to get out of bed this morning?

Now is the time to put off this cape of pretense and admit to yourself that you have a problem, take a step of faith and cry out to the Lord for help!

Look at this great example taken from the book of Psalms.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their chains in pieces. (Ps. 107:13-14)

‘They cried out’ this was the moment of decision and today is your moment of decision to put the pretense aside, acknowledge your reality and fight to change your situation!

Enjoy your reality of today; a life of peace and abundance! No more pretense!

May the God of the Bible bless you,
