As man progressed, new methods to prolong our days were created. Generation after generation new medical techniques, vaccines, diets, pills and so on were created to do one thing; help us live longer. The doctors and scientists of the past were thinking about the future.

There are beautiful monuments all over the world. For centuries they have been preserved and kept because generation after generation they were cared for. This was done with the hope that a tradition story or cause wouldn’t be forgotten. The people who preserve these marvelous works of architecture were thinking about one thing; the future.

And you…

Have you been thinking about your future? How have you been treating your temple?

This young and vibrant body that you have today will soon become one that is old, from the inside out. The day you turn 8o years old, so will your liver, heart and all of those vital organs that are working in your body today. Maybe your lifestyle has been taking a toll on you. How many people regret the decisions they made in the past? The smoking, clubbing, drinking and drugs are catching up to them. They are now a slave to an oxygen tank and weekly medical procedures, all because they didn’t think about the future of their health.

You may have even decided not to participate in a church or religion because you don’t want to let go of your way of life but this isn’t about religion. It’s about your life.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

You were also made to be one of the marvelous temples. Take care of the body, life and organs that God has given to you.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
