As children, many of us became familiar with a reward system. If you listened, you would be rewarded – a treat, a trip to your favorite place, a new toy, etc. You were motivated to obey your parents because it would often come with a reward. Even if you are not familiar with this concept, you have seen throughout your life that when you give, you do receive.
The Bible also teaches us this important lesson:
“And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 28:2
Think, the voice of God will never steer you to do what’s wrong. The voice of God will always lead you to do what is good for you and your soul.
Blessings are a consequence of our obedience. When we consider the will of God for our lives, He rewards us by showing us His blessings time and time again.
On the contrary, a child who lives in disobedience lives a life of curses. They never get the things they want, they are in constant problems at home…
Be a child of obedience because your Father’s blessing is beyond compare.
