If you work hard for a full week, would you accept to get paid for half of the week? Or if you make a vow to get married to a man, would you accept to have him half of the time and the other half of the time he stays with another woman? If you have a choice, would you live with half of a leg, or half of an arm, or half of ANYTHING? What if you go to a restaurant and order a meal… would you accept to receive half of it? The answer to all of these questions is a sure no.
No one wants half of anything! And you can not accept a “half” life. Yes, I know that the expression doesn’t even sound right and it shouldn’t. A half-life is a life that has some blessing, some peace, some happiness but is not complete. God did not give half of His Son on the cross. He gave one hundred percent. As it is written,
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
(Romans 8:32)
God gave all of His Son to give us ALL THINGS, not a piece of them. All things mean a complete family, a stable financial life, a happy marriage, a healthy body, a strong spiritual life, and anything else that makes life complete.
If you want to take possession of this complete life and stop accepting to have a life broken into pieces, then the first step is to show God a willingness to do your part. Show Him that you are willing to pay the price of hard work and sacrifice to reach your goals. Don’t just say that you want a full life, but prove it. Action always speaks louder than words alone.
May the God of the Bible bless you
