Do you remember your childhood friend? You two would do everything together. If one signed up for a drama class, the other signed up too.
If one signed up for baseball, the other signed up too. Not to mention, if someone offended one, they indirectly offended the other.
If one didn’t have lunch or clothes, the other would make it their duty to ask their parent for extra lunch and clothes just to share with the BFF.
This bond is also common among brothers and sisters, especially when you are the younger one. The older siblings go out of their way to make sure you get what you want.
When it comes to parents and children, this bond is also very strong. Many parents will give their last so their kids can have. You even have some parents who don’t have conditions financially, and they will stay without eating just to make sure the children are satisfied.
If you are a BFF, a brother, a sister, or a parent, what would you not give to the one you love?
This is the clear understanding that the Lord Jesus wanted to convey when He said the following:
If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:11-13)
This is powerful! The Holy Spirit is the greatest gift one could ever receive. When you receive the Holy Spirit, you have access to the fullness of the God of the Bible. No problem will overtake you when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, the fire of God!
Stay tuned: Nine more days to go to kick off the 21-Day Fast of Daniel, are you ready?
May the God of the Bible bless you!
