We all need help. Every day, a situation arises, big or small, where we must ask for help. The levels of desperation will vary. Asking for help to reach something on a high shelf will differ from asking for help if you’ve run out of gas on a highway. And the list goes on. However, the level of urgency when someone is in a life-or-death situation is game-changing.

No one will politely ask for help if they are drowning. They will kick, yell, shout, and do anything to get someone’s attention. Perhaps this is where you are in life at the moment. Your level of urgency has passed, reaching something on a high shelf, and you are at the drowning phase. You are drowning in problems, debts, depression, and anxieties. You are surrounded by a sea of uncertainty.

Start crying out because help is at hand.

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.”
Psalms 34:17

Maybe you have been asking for help from every direction, but no one seems to bat an eyelid. Perhaps someone has even tried to help, but it wasn’t enough. At this moment, God is throwing you a life vest. He not only hears you, but He has the solution to your problem.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
