Death by suicide is never pleasant for those who are mourning loved ones. The tragic suicides of the numerous celebrities hitting the headlines in recent times, brings to light many social issues. It’s so sad to see lives being lost – lives that that had so much potential but were taken so prematurely due to suicide. What makes a person – a celebrity, who seems to have it all, feel like they are worthless, lost, confused, and tired of living?

A young man who recently committed suicide left a note speaking about the battles that had been causing so much pain in his mind and life. Through his suicide, and that of other famous people, we learn some valuable lessons:

Physical strength and agility cannot compensate for an empty spirit.

Social status does not bring internal fulfilment.

Depression and mental health concerns have no age limit.

Spiritual problems require spiritual solutions.

Can you relate?

Do you feel like your life has no meaning because of the problems you are facing? Maybe you are thinking to give up as well.

STOP!

Suicide is NEVER an option. God can and will solve your problems and give you the better life that you want. Even if it seems as though you are facing problems left, right and center, there is a strength within you. Your strength lies in your faith. Problems will come, we can’t avoid them. But it is your faith that will keep you pushing and fighting until your problems are gone.

It’s your faith that will help you to face your problems head on.

It’s your faith that will remind you that you have Someone Greater than you, fighting in your corner.

It’s your faith that tells you, failure is not an option.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. (Isaiah 43:2-3)

This is your guarantee that things will be alright. God is not saying that you will have a problem free life, but He is saying that He will be right there with you, and you will not be overtaken by those problems.

Feed your faith and suicide will never be an option for you. Don’t allow your faith to become weak, your life literally depends on it.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
