When a person is driving down the street and realizes they’re going the wrong way, what do they do? Make a U-turn.

It sounds much simpler on the road than in real life. Often, we don’t even recognize that we’re going down the wrong road. The distractions of life, the problems we face, actions, reactions, and choices. It can turn into a tangled web.

The Bible has a few tips on how to turn around if the road has been rocky.

“‘Be angry, and do not sin’: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” Ephesians 4: 26-29

⁃ Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth.

 ⁃ Put away lying.

 ⁃ Do not steal.

⁃ Be angry but do not sin.

These are some of life’s common wrong turns. Much more can be added to the list, but we must individually look at ourselves to see where we have made wrong turns and start looking for signs to get on the right track. The best “map” to guide you is the word of God. It will always show you if you are going off course. And it will also help you get back on track.

Don’t ignore the signs. Make a U-turn and start heading in that direction.

May the God of the Bible bless you,
