New Year, New Life!

To-do list:

  • Exercise.
  • Change eating habits.
  • Lose weight.
  • Pay off credit cards.
  • Finalize studies.
  • Renew passport.
  • Take the driving test.
  • Go for my degree.

This list looks so familiar at the beginning of a new year, right? But I believe that seeing such a list at the end of the year is a strange thing for you.

No one does this at the end of the year; the end of the year is when people usually see such a list as depressing and stressful. Especially when they find that most things on this list are still undone at the end of another year!

Don’t cry over spilled milk; who told you you couldn’t accomplish your goals? Don’t listen to this lie.

You can look at what the Word of God says:

“Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, “This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” (Exodus 12:1-2 )

Instead of waiting for 2024 to start working on your New Year’s resolution, why not begin this month? Let me take it even further: why not do something different? You could do as the Word of God says.

What if you start afresh every month instead of every year? Could it be that you would accomplish much more at the end of each month?

Go ahead, go in full power, do what you must, and check those things off your list. You don’t need to wait until 2024!

May the God of the Bible bless you,

Bishop Bira Joshua
