One of the most disheartening things is when someone makes a false promise—a promise to show up but doesn’t; a commitment to help but turns their back; a promise to never do something again but does it anyway…

How frustrating and disappointing. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in. Every day, we are exposed to falsehood.

The world is filled with fake promises. “Use this, and you will look 10 years younger.” “This is the key to happiness; no wait, this is, or that is.” Or the biggest fake news: “Life is too short.” When, in fact, there is an eternity that awaits us.

It has become easier to accept the fake news that feels momentarily good when, in reality, we are all well aware of the troubles of this world. Perhaps you are living in trouble right now.

Things are not going well, and you have run out of places to turn. There is a true and faithful promise for you.

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

These Words are of the Lord Jesus Himself. He overcame the world. It isn’t sugar-coated. Life will be difficult, and you will face tribulations, but just as He overcrame, those who live a life with Him and are filled with His Spirit will also overcome.

Where has your tribulation been lately? In your health, family, finances, or even your soul? Be of good cheer; the Word of God, which does not lie, promises you will overcome.

Call upon God and ask Him to help you overcome, just as the Lord Jesus did. Allow His Spirit to enter inside you, and your victory will be a certainty.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
