Why is it so difficult for many people to let go of a grudge? Many say, ‘If you break my trust once, it is broken forever.’ What if God took this approach for every time man breaks His trust?

God teaches us, not only with words, but with action. Knowing that man is prone to mistakes, He has patience and mercy towards all of us. He could hold onto His wrath, but instead, His mercy is everlasting.

“‘With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,’ Says the LORD, your Redeemer.”

(Isaiah 54:6)

You have been disappointed, let down and angered by people who you trusted, but do not let this be the reason for everlasting anger and wrath in your life.

Our Heavenly Father has a ‘little wrath for a moment,’but His kindness is everlasting. When we look to Him, our disappointments fade away. We let go of grudges and anger when our faith and focus is locked on God and the things of heaven.

God renews those who have this faith. The entire world may disappoint you, but you will not hold onto the matter for long. Practice this dear reader, and your heart will be clear of all grudges and resentment.

God’s mercy is everlasting, but He is also a Just Judge. We cannot try to deceive God, because He reads our thoughts before we open our mouths to speak! With every new day, He gives us a new opportunity to obey His Word and keep His Commandments. We all have free will to choose what we do with what life presents us.

The choice is up to each and everyone of us to either look to God, or focus on the problems and mistakes around us. Our choice determines where we will be – either in everlasting mercy, together with our Lord Jesus, or in everlasting torment.

May the God of the Bible bless you
