If there is one thing that I can say for sure without any doubt, is that nobody likes the feeling of being put to shame. If you are driving and your car breaks down in the middle of the road, you will feel angry and frustrated because it is a shame. When you fail in business or in marriage… when you hear that your son got arrested… when you have to call and ask to borrow money… you feel ashamed and frustrated.

I have never met one person in my life that would say it feels good to be put to shame. No one would say, “I enjoy the feeling of embarrassment.” It is painful and uncomfortable. And that is exactly why God doesn’t want you to go through it.

Imagine, Him being the Lord of all and Savior… if His people are put to shame then that is a shame on Him too. He said in Isaiah,

“Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed;

Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame;” (Isaiah 54:4)

He did not say, “You may not”; He said, “You will not.” Meaning that He will absolutely not allow it to happen. But for that not to happen, you have to use the faith that God has placed inside of you and take action against the shame. Not against a person or an institution, but against the cause of shame. And the cause of shame is spiritual. It’s the Adversary that we need to fight against and overcome in order to be free from shame.

Don’t blame God or be angry with Him if things are going wrong. Fight against the one that is causing all of the problems. Once you overcome the spirit behind the shame, the problem will be solved and the shame will be removed.

May the God of the Bible bless you
