We knew exactly where to turn when we needed help as children. Mom or dad were always there with open arms and we knew we would find help. No matter the situation, scratch, broken bone, fear or loneliness, they were our ‘place’ to run to.

As we get older, we start losing places that we can run to for help. We are expected to handle things on our own and hope for the best. Well, there is still Someone who can help you, no matter the situation. Take a look at this verse, you’ll realize you aren’t as alone as you may think.

May He send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. Psalm 20:2

When you run to God, He sends help. Perhaps you’ve needed help and reached out to a friend, family member, someone you thought could help you but it was to no avail. When you reach out to God, help is guaranteed.

The Word of God promises help and support. When was the last time you felt like you had any support? But He will grant you support from Zion. This Zion represents God’s house, the church. You may think to yourself, “It’s been so long since I’ve been to church.”

Don’t fear returning because the moment that you do, your Father will be ready with open arms.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
