Did you know that Americans spend an average of 5.4 hours of screen time on their cell phones daily?

A study revealed that 66% of Americans check their phones 160 times a day. If you’re like most people, your cell phone is the first thing you check when you wake up and the last thing you check before going to sleep.

Compared to the time that you spend (and sometimes waste) on your cell phone, have you ever thought about how much time you spend with God and how your relationship is with Him?

With simple actions, we can see if God is first in our life or not.

Read the text below and see if you are doing any of these things:

-You wake up, and the first thing you do is talk to God;

  • You read the Bible with pleasure because you know that the Bible is food for your spirit;
  • You thank God for your food before eating;
  • You don’t pray religiously, but sincerely;
  • You do not forget to tithe because you consider God and want to obey Him by giving back what belongs to Him;
  • You go to church even if you don’t feel like it;
  • You keep your word to God and to the people around you.

These may even seem like simple habits, but be aware that small actions speak volumes about your relationship with God.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”. (Matthew 6:33)

If you have failed to do anything from the list above, it could be a sign that you are far from God. And your walk with God will reflect in your life. Maybe you have tried many ways to create a new life, but it seems that your struggle has been in vain. The more you try to change your situation, the more difficult it becomes to find the solution.

If you now recognize that your walk with God has had its ups and downs, then it’s time to make a vow with Him. Put God first in your life and you will surely be blessed in every way.

May the God of the Bible Bless You,

Bishop Joshua Fonseca
