Once someone has passed and is buried, there is no coming back. It is the finality of life. Perhaps you have suffered a loss and can attest to this. Something changes, and we intensely feel that loss. Mary and Martha experienced this, but their loss was used as an example to declare the glory of God to all those around them. After losing their brother Lazarus, they were in a season of great mourning, but the Lord Jesus said to them:

“I am the resurrection and the life…” John 11:25

Perhaps there are areas of your life that you are mourning. You are physically alive but are walking around as a zombie. Your finances are dead, you are mentally drained, the love in your family has disappeared, and little by little, you see parts of your life passing away.
The Lord Jesus promises resurrection. For those who believe in Him, a loss is never permanent, but it is the beginning of His work in one’s life.

Today, this promise is directed at you. God wants to resurrect your life for His glory and His honor. He is life and resurrection. No matter what you have lost, no matter the time that has passed, no matter the ‘nay-sayers’ of your victory, God can bring you back to life. Hand over everything that has been lost, broken, and forgotten to God, and allow His resurrection to take place in your life. He wants to resurrect you and bring you life.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
