There’s an old riddle that goes, “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” Many argue yes, while others say no. It’s very likely this no is because it seems to be a noise that lands on deaf ears. And maybe this is what you feel like at times: like that tree that falls, but no one is around to hear you.
It is in the moments when you are at your lowest, most anxious, most lost, and needing the most help that it seems there is no one around to hear your cry. But, even in the middle of the night, when it seems you have been abandoned, you are not alone.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalms 34:17
What is your trouble? Is it within your soul? Your family? Your health? Wherever your trouble lies, know that God hears you when you cry out to Him. Maybe it’s been a while. You’ve forgotten what it was like to pray and know God is hearing you. Well, wherever you are, cry out to Him because He is waiting to hear from you.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
