I believe all of us at some point in our life heard the following; look to your big brother, look to your sister, look to your father, look to your mother…
Sometimes people even get frustrated when they are told to look to a family members good example and follow their foot steps.
They usually say something like… “I don’t like to be compared to anyone or I want my own experiences, not to walk in the footsteps of anyone else”.
My personal opinion (though you may disagree). I don’t think there is anything wrong with following the good example of someone.
Even the Bible guides us to do this. Take a look at the Bible reference below:
Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him. (Isaiah 51:2)
Maybe you ask this question: How can I look to Abraham when he is already dead?
This advise is not for us to look at in a physical way, but rather in a spiritual way. Look to the examples of Abraham, look to his history, look to his examples. Look to his life and the legacy he left for us. Look to his success, look to his victories!
Do you want to be the Abraham of today? Do want he did; answer the call of God and obey His voice continually. This was the secret of Abraham’s success.
To answer the question above: Whom should I look to? Look to Abraham.
The secret was revealed to you, now what will be your next step?
May the God of the Bible bless you.
