I believe everyone can relate to this situation, a mother, father, a big sister, a big brother. You know that excitement when they are looking for the little one to say the very first word? It could be mommy, daddy or the big sister or brother’s name.
Remember the excitement to receive the test results and find out that you got the highest score and you passed the test?
And what about the mother that can’t wait to get the results of her test to know the sex of her child? It’s a boy! Or, it’s a girl! Either will make her day.
There are all examples of people waiting to hear a word that will totally change their life.
There was a man in the Bible that had faith that just one word from the Lord Jesus could change his situation.
The scripture says,
And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. (Matthew 8:7-8)
This centurion had heard many negative words before concerning his servant but he had faith that just one Word from Jesus would change everything.
What words have you heard today? Do you have faith to trade them in for the Word of God?
Maybe you have heard the following; you are depressed, you are bipolar, you are sick, you are fired, you are hopeless… but do you have faith and courage to trade these words for the Word from God. The words called freedom, healing, deliverance?
Go ahead proclaim it, do not accept the negative words another day, change them for the Word of God that promises positive answers!
