Have you every visited a restaurant and the service was so good that you gave them five stars in the review? Then you made it a point of duty to tell all your friends and family members about them.

Why did you do that? I believe you were so pleased with the service the staff gave you; they welcomed you with a smile, came by to ask if you were enjoying your meal; not to mention the food, it was delicious: that was the icing on the cake for you!

Because of their service/attitude you couldn’t help but to reward them with free advertisement.They served their company very well!

There was someone in the Bible who got that reaction; his name was Joseph and because of his actions he was always rewarded, you can even say promoted.

This man Joseph was a slave but he found favor in the eyes of his mater continually.

Look what the word of God says;

And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.

Genesis 39:3-4

Joseph had a pact with the God of the Bible and because of this he strived to please Him with his actions. No matter if human eyes were on him or not he was well aware that the eyes of God were watching him. This is the main reason why he refused the offer of the wife of his master, and many other temptations that came his way.

How many people do the total opposite; they do a very bad job, then try to justify their bad behavior based on the errors or defects of the boss.

With Joseph it wasn’t so, he was a man of character; not only in words, but in his daily actions.  Always striving to do his best.

How have been your actions or your reactions?

What would be your ratings today? Joseph definitely got five stars! He was serving his God by doing his best for his master. We could even go as far as to say he was obeying the Word of God. As is written;

And Jesus answered and said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Mark 12:17

Are you giving to Caesar what is Caesar’s? Based on your character, can you be seen as the Joseph of today with a five star rating?

May the God of the Bible bless you.
