People in this world constantly ask, ‘If God loves me, why is my life so bad? Why am I in pain, living in misery and suffering in life? But God is not to blame for the pain and suffering we see so frequently in this world. He may even allow certain things to happen, but He is and never will be the cause of it. There is pain and suffering in the world because we all have an enemy whose mission it is to destroy mens peace and joy.
God does indeed love everyone – after all, His desire is to see mankind saved and with Him in heaven. However, the pain and suffering in life comes from being far from God. When we are far from God, we do not have a commitment or vow with Him.
This is what makes the difference my friend. When we make a vow with God, we become His chosen ones. When we make a vow, God sets us apart and makes us different from those who do not have this intimacy with Him.
Let us take a look at Isaac’s story in the Bible. He was living in a certain land when a famine came and destroyed everyone’s food supply. The people were going hungry, in pain and misery – things that we see nowadays, but Isaac was not touched by it. Why? Because he made a vow to God! How? By obeying the Lord when He spoke saying,
“Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you.”
(Genesis 26:2-3)
Perhaps God has spoken to you, and you ignored Him until now. Isaac obeyed the Lord’s command, he vowed to be obedient, and look at what God did for him,
“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him.”
(Genesis 26:12)
God does not only want to bless your finances, but all areas of your life, and unto your eternal salvation. Make a vow to obey God’s commands and He will make you His chosen one!
May the God of the Bible bless you
