September is the 9th month; today is the eighth day. Do not fear the beginning; look at Joseph’s story.
Joseph went through a painful journey before God fulfilled His purpose in his life.
- He was the youngest among his brothers.
- He was hated by his brothers, who even plotted to kill him.
- His own brothers sold him, and he became a slave.
- He was falsely accused of something he did not do.
- He was arrested and sent to prison.
But prison was not the end of Joseph’s story.
When God finally lifted Joseph from the prison and brought him into the palace,
“Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: ‘For God has made me forget all my toil and all my father’s house.” (Genesis 41:51)
Manasseh means: “causing to forget.”
God did not allow Joseph to remain trapped in the pain of his past.
God made him forget all his toil, all his suffering, all the rejection, and all the injustices he had endured.
September—the 9th month.
A new month. A new season. A new chapter.
