Mount Everest is the highest and most dangerous mountain to climb in the world, the largest and deepest ocean in the world is the Pacific, the hottest place on earth, on record, is Death Valley. You may be wondering what these facts have to do with anything. Well, these are the places with the most extremes. Extreme heat, height and depth, and this is how extreme our problems can seem at times.
Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be the lowest feeling in the world, a family breaking apart can feel like sinking to the depths of the ocean. Depression can feel like a never-ending heat all over the body. Life can often take us to the extremes. And, although we may look for answers in people, it’s very rare to find them.
People have tried going to these extreme places and time after time have failed. There are some things that man simply cannot do.
The people of Israel once had an extreme case. In that time, they didn’t turn to each other for help, they turned to the only One who could help them.
“And the Lord said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” Joshua 6:2
At your lowest, deepest and most extreme problem, God has the answer. Don’t think you stand alone in the midst of your problem. God brought down a literal wall to bring victory to his people. He can also bring down this sickness, depression, financial hardship, etc. No matter the problem, He has the solution. God can go to the places where no man can.
Trust Him.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
