These days, most things that come in a box and must be built come with an instruction manual. The instruction manual is there to help you in case you get stuck or in case there is a problem with the equipment or whatever it is that you are building.
In the same way, the Word of God is an instruction manual. It’s the manual for life. And in the Word of God there is clear directions on the steps that need to be taken whenever you are in a moment of trouble.
Let’s look at this scripture and see the steps that God gave.
Call upon Me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.
(Psalm 50:15)
We can clearly see here three steps that should be taken when you are faced with troublesome situations.
Step 1- Call upon Him
Step 2- He will deliver you
Step 3- Glorify Him
Maybe you say, “but I am not going through any trouble at the moment”. That’s fine, but one day you will, as everyone does. And when that moment comes, the first step should be to call upon God.
When a person calls upon the Lord Jesus with all of their strength, sincerity and faith, He is drawn to them and answers their prayer. But when a person tries to solve everything themself, they end up running into a brick wall that they are unable to get around.
Take note of these three steps in your mind, and put them into practice every time they are needed. They will work for you. Actually, they have to! They are written in “the” manual aren’t they? So then they will surely work.
