There are many young adults who before leaving home, whether it be going off to college or just moving out because of their age, were advised by their parents to take a defense course.
Why? Because they found it necessary for them to defend themselves in the invent of an attack.
Likewise, insurance companies usually suggest that you take a defensive driving course, why? Because they want you to be equipped with the necessary tools to defend yourself and avoid deadly accidents!
All have the same purpose: to keep you safe from harm.
Like any good parent, God the Heavenly Father is concerned about your well-being and no matter the problems or enemies you might face daily, He wants you to have the weapon to overcome your daily battles.
The word of God is your weapon – your best defense! Jesus used it to defeat the tempter and it has the same power today.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)
Defend yourself. Let the Word of God be your best defense. Read it, believe it and apply it to your day and experience the light to your path. No more dark days!
