If you see a danger sign as you walk along the road, you would avoid walking into that danger. You would not put yourself at risk of getting hurt. We often hear the phrase, ‘Wrong place, wrong time,’ usually when there has been a tragic event, loss, or failure. But how many times could this have been avoided? To think about it logically, why not avoid the wrong place to begin with?
“After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him.” (John 7:1)
The Lord Jesus knew that walking in Judea meant risking His life, and His mission was not complete yet, so He avoided it. He walked another way to avoid danger. However, nowadays many walk straight into danger.
Danger presents itself in many different forms these days. However, the signs are there—Going to places that promote evil, bad habits, and dangerous lifestyles, or being involved with those who live opposite to the faith.
The signs are there, but it’s our job to take note of them. If you are striving to live the right way, then a major part of this means avoiding the wrong places, friendships, and behavior—Flee from evil.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
