Maybe you’ve been to the Universal Church or seen us on TV and you wonder why we use the Blessed Water or other Holy elements in the service. Well if you look in the Bible, the water was used over and over again as a tool when a miracle was being performed.

For example, the first tool Jesus used for a miracle was water… when He turned water into wine. As it is written:

Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, John 2:7-8

You see in the first miracle we read about in the life of Jesus, He used the water as a tool. And that’s not to mention in the case of Naaman and the Jordan river, the blind man who washed and received sight, and many other cases.

So it’s no different for you. When you use the water (or any other element that has been blessed) by faith, it becomes a tool in God’s hands to perform a great miracle. God has always used different elements to stir up the faith of those who believed in Him, and it is no different today. So the next time you are in one of our services and you receive the water or something Holy to use by faith, do it with all your faith, not a trusting in the element itself, but trusting that God will use it as a tool to bless you.

Just like a mechanic uses his tools to fix a car, God uses His tools to bless our lives.

May the God of the Bible Bless You
