How many times have you seen a bumper sticker like this?
I am the proud parent of a killer!
I am the proud parent of a thief!
I am the proud parent of an addict!
Just like myself, I’m sure that you have never seen such a bumper sticker!
On the other hand, I am sure that we have all seen bumper stickers like this!
I am the proud parent of a college graduate!
I am the proud parent of an accountant!
I am the proud parent of a lawyer!
These are the glory of the parents.
But God the Father defines glory differently. He made it very clear in this Bible passage:
But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me… (Jeremiah 9:24)
Your glory is not your success or the success of your children, your glory must be your personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. And that comes from investing in getting to know Him.
Redefine what you glory in and it will change your life.
May the God of the Bible bless you.
